2015 Nissan Altima
The Altima - Nissan's best-selling model. There was a time that we preferred it for its engaging driving dynamics as a scrappy upstart in the segment, but now, we enjoy it as a safe, comfortable mid-size sedan.
The 2015 Nissan Altima is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 182 horsepower. A 3.5-liter V6 with 270 horsepower is available. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) are standard. The base 2015 Altima gets an EPA-estimated 27/38 mpg city/highway, while the V6 earns 22/32 mpg.
The interior's a big contrast: it's conservatively drawn, with straight lines dividing off the center stack of controls from the driver and the passenger. There's also more space left for larger LCD screens for more advanced infotainment systems.
Pricing for the base 2015 Altima is bumped up to $23,110, jumping all the way to $32,760 for the top of the line 3.5 SL variant, including the $810 destination fee.
